Undeniably Magical.

Meet Leah.

Leah Brownstein is a multidisciplinary artist with a unique ability to find and create beauty in unexpected places. Working in various mediums - from textiles, clothing, and jewelry, to sculpture and landscape design - has allowed her full artistic control so that House of Faun has become the ever-evolving fantasy wonderland of her dreams.

Thomas Kilgore Jr.

Leah purchased the home in 2017 from the daughter of Thomas Kilgore Jr., a prominent civil rights leader and pastor who planned two of the biggest civil rights marches in America alongside Martin Luther King Jr.

In 1953, Kilgore was one of the first African Americans to buy a house on this street. Kilgore paved the way for non-white families to own property in Country Club Park. It is now a beautiful and diverse neighbourhood.

The Inspiration.

House of Faun was born from Leah’s desire to create a fantasy life she wouldn’t need a vacation from. Drawing on inspiration from the Chateau Marmont and the Old Hollywood glamour era, Leah has uniquely curated each room with a beautiful blend of different styles, juxtaposing textures, and colours that both contrast and delight.

Mission.

Our mission at House of Faun is to provide a creative sanctuary away from the distraction and routine of everyday life. To create a place where energy is restored and amplified, where ideas materialize into reality, and where memories are made that will last a lifetime.

Vision.

House of Faun is more than an immersive creative space, fascinating Airbnb experience, or backdrop to uniquely fabulous events. It’s the manifestation of what is at its essence. A magnetizing energy vortex that will continue to evolve and expand with Leah and her growing community.

The Secret Gardens.

There is an enchanted wildness to the outdoor gardens at House of Faun. Upon arrival the driveway leads you through a tropical tunnel of vines and shade plants. An intense oxygen rush is present in every single breath as you make your way through the whimsical garden rooms, each one home to butterflies and birds. Leah has brought each garden to life with its own unique mix of native plants, fun sculptures, and quaint seating areas. There’s even a fountain and a bathtub to be stumbled upon…
